Introducing CeyMail: Self-Hosted Email Made Simple

CeyMail Team·

Running your own email server has always been one of those things that sounded great in theory but was painful in practice. Between configuring Postfix, setting up Dovecot, wrestling with DKIM keys, and praying your IP doesn't end up on a blacklist, it's no wonder most people just hand their email over to Google or Microsoft.

We built CeyMail to change that.

The Problem

Cloud email providers offer convenience, but at a cost that goes beyond the monthly bill. Your emails are scanned for advertising. Your data lives on someone else's servers. You're locked into their ecosystem with no way out. And for businesses handling sensitive communications, that's a real problem.

Self-hosting should be the obvious answer, but the barrier to entry has always been too high. Traditional mail server setup involves dozens of configuration files, multiple services that need to talk to each other, and deep knowledge of protocols that most developers never need to think about.

The Solution

CeyMail takes everything you need for a production-ready mail server and wraps it in a single install command:

bash
curl -sSL https://ceymail.com/install | sudo bash

That's it. In about five minutes, you'll have a fully configured mail server running Postfix, Dovecot, OpenDKIM, and SpamAssassin, all managed through a modern web dashboard.

What You Get

A Modern Dashboard — Manage domains, users, aliases, DKIM keys, mail queues, and server health from a clean web interface. No more editing config files over SSH.

One-Command Install — The installer handles everything: package installation, service configuration, SSL certificates, and initial setup. It's designed for Ubuntu 22.04+ and Debian 11+ and works on any VPS with at least 512 MB of RAM (1 GB+ recommended, 2 GB+ for AI screening).

AI Spam Guard — CeyMail includes an AI-powered spam screening system that achieves 99.2% detection accuracy. Run it locally for maximum privacy or connect to a cloud API for zero-config setup.

DNS Record Generation — The dashboard generates the exact DNS records you need (MX, SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and shows you where to add them. No more guessing at TXT record values.

Pricing That Makes Sense

CeyMail starts free with our Community tier — 2 domains, 5 mailboxes, and community support. For teams that need more, our paid plans start at $29/month with annual discounts available.

Compare that to Google Workspace at $6/user/month. For a team of 50, that's $3,600/year versus ~$630/year for CeyMail Pro including VPS hosting. The savings add up fast.
